My name is Tim Marshall. My wife Nancy and I live in Warren County, Indiana, near the town of Williamsport. I was introduced to hounds at 9 years old by my grandfather and uncles. I have been actively hunting hounds since that time. I attended my first UKC field trial approximately 3 years ago. I’ve attended UKC Performance Pack and UKC Hunting Beagle trials. I enjoy the field trials, but most of all I enjoy the hunt and the sound of the dogs running. A dog must be able to jump and circle a rabbit back to the gun, solo. I like a hard hitting hound that will get in the brush with above-medium speed and good line control. If they do not possess these traits, they do not stay in my kennel. In 2007, 4 Big River hounds became Performance Pack Champions. One Big River Hound became a dual champion by finishing in the Hunting Beagle format also. We had 1 hound qualify for the 2007 Hunting Beagle World hunt and have another qualified for the 2008 HB World hunt. We have a 1/2 acre enclosure for starting pups. I will occasionally purchase a dog, but my passion is to raise a litter of pups, keep a couple, and develop them into well started hounds. I then decide if they will be kept and run in field trials, or sold as gun dogs. Also, if time allows, I will start young dogs for a fee. We have plenty of rabbits on hand for training and for sale. We have Smokey Mountain Cottontail X Belgium Hare and San Juan X Red Dutch. We hope you enjoy the site. Please contact me if you have any questions.
